About Vinyasa flow

Vinyasa means linking movement with breath. Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic practice in which you move through a series of yoga positions linked together.

During your yoga practice, you can focus on bringing awareness to your breathing and using it to guide you through the movements. This allows the body to ease gently into postures that build flexibility, strength, and balance.

How I teach yoga

My yoga courses typically include a variety of asana sequences as well as creative themes based on the season, chakras, relationships with yourself and the world around you, eastern philosophy, or opening/strengthening certain body zones. The sequences are designed to meet the needs of the practitioners.

Class begins with a brief meditation—a mental entrance to the classroom. Following that, the physical practice of asanas progresses from less to more intense. The class finishes with relaxation in Shavasana, followed by short pranayama and meditation practice.

The primary objective of these classes is to teach you to be present in the moment and reconnect with your physical, mental, and energetic bodies. As a delightful side benefit, you will develop physical strength while enhancing your mobility and flexibility.
